What can Claude do for my business?
Claude can write your emails, proposals and posts in your voice, read long documents and answer questions about them, turn calls into action lists, draft customer replies, and plan projects. Connected to your email, calendar and files, it can do several of those steps from one request.
Claude is the AI I use most, every day, for writing and building. Here is what it actually does for a business, in plain terms.

- Writes in your voice. Paste in five emails you wrote. Ask for the sixth. It picks up your tone.
- Reads what you do not have time to. Contracts, reports, a year of reviews. Ask “what are the three biggest complaints?” and get an answer with quotes.
- Turns calls into plans. Drop in a meeting transcript. Get decisions, owners and deadlines.
- Drafts customer replies. Give it your policies and past answers once in a Project, then paste each new question.
- Builds simple tools. Ask for a pricing calculator or a checklist page and Claude builds a working one you can use right in the chat.
- Plans a launch. Give it the goal, the date and the budget. Get a week-by-week plan to argue with.
- Researches. With web search on, it reads sources and writes a short brief you can check.
Projects: give it your business once
The feature most owners miss: Projects. You upload your price list, FAQ, brand voice and best past work one time. Every chat inside that Project starts already knowing your business. No more pasting the same background every day.
Connect it to your tools
Claude can connect to Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive and many other apps. Then one request like “find the quote I sent Sarah last month and draft a follow-up” runs the search, reads the file and writes the reply.

One thing to switch off
On personal plans (Free, Pro, Max), Anthropic can use your chats to improve its models unless you turn that off. Go to Settings, then Privacy, and switch off “Help improve Claude.” Team and Enterprise chats are not used for training. More in what not to tell ChatGPT or Claude.
